Hoosier Card Care

CUSTOMER AGREEMENT AND LIABILITY WAIVER

By submitting cards or collectibles to Hoosier Card Care (“HHC"), the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:

1. Nature of Restoration Services

Trading card restoration involves delicate processes intended to improve the appearance and presentation of collectible cards. Due to the unique condition, age, manufacturing variations, and previous damage present in each card, no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

Restoration results may vary from card to card.

 


 

2. No Guarantee of Results

The customer understands and agrees that:

  • Hoosier Card Care does not guarantee any specific cosmetic improvement.

  • Hoosier Card Care does not guarantee any increase in value.

  • Hoosier Card Care does not guarantee any grading outcome or grade increase.

  • Restoration may improve some defects while other defects may remain visible.

  • Some damage may not be repairable.

All work is performed on a best-effort basis.

 


 

3. Risk of Restoration

The customer acknowledges that restoration techniques involve inherent risks. Although great care is taken during every step of the process, cards may experience:

  • Minimal improvement

  • Partial improvement

  • Unexpected reactions due to existing damage

  • Additional wear or damage

  • Structural failure of weakened areas

  • Unforeseen changes to surface, edges, or print layers

The customer voluntarily assumes these risks.

 


 

4. Grading Companies

Hoosier Card Care is not affiliated with PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or any grading company.

The customer understands that grading standards vary and that no guarantee is made regarding:

  • Final grade

  • Authentication

  • Alteration determinations

  • Encapsulation decisions

  • Value after grading

 


 

5. Customer Responsibility for Declared Value

The customer is solely responsible for determining the value of submitted items and selecting appropriate shipping insurance.

Hoosier Card Care is not responsible for losses arising from insufficient shipping insurance selected by the customer.

 


 

6. Shipping Risks

The customer understands that shipping carriers are independent third parties.

Hoosier Card Care is not responsible for:

  • Lost packages before receipt

  • Damage occurring during transit to ILR

  • Carrier delays

  • Theft while in transit

Customers are strongly encouraged to use tracking and insurance.

 


 

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hoosier Card Care’s liability for any claim arising out of restoration services shall be limited to the amount paid by the customer for the affected service.

Under no circumstances shall Hoosier Card Care be liable for:

  • Market value fluctuations

  • Lost profits

  • Sentimental value

  • Consequential damages

  • Special damages

  • Speculative future value

  • Third-party grading outcomes

 


 

8. Abandoned Property

Cards remaining unpaid or unclaimed for more than 90 days after completion may be considered abandoned property.

Hoosier Card Care reserves the right to charge storage fees and, where permitted by law, dispose of or liquidate abandoned items to recover outstanding balances and expenses.

 


 

9. Photography and Marketing

Unless otherwise requested in writing, the customer grants Hoosier Card Care permission to photograph submitted items and use before-and-after images for marketing, educational, social media, and website purposes.

No personal identifying information will be disclosed without permission.

Customers may opt out by notifying Hoosier Card Care in writing.

 


 

10. Entire Agreement

By submitting cards to Hoosier Card Care, the customer acknowledges that they have:

  • Read this agreement in its entirety.

  • Understand the risks associated with restoration.

  • Understand that no results or grading outcomes are guaranteed.

  • Voluntarily accept those risks.

  • Agree to the terms and conditions contained herein.
